How about a cute bat and witch's hat to help you decorate for Halloween. Pattern includes both the bat and hat instructions. Both use worsted weight yarn, basic crochet stitches and a size G (4mm) and I crochet hook. To finish your bat and hat, you will to know how to crochet in the round and basic crochet stitches such as single crochet, half double crochet, double crochet and treble crochet. Your bat will need one pair of size 12mm brown (or whatever color you like) safety eyes (if you are unable to find them in your local craft store, 6060.etsy.com has a large selection to chose from). You will also need fiberfill and a tapestry needle. Optional materials include a small piece (about an 1") of white felt for under eyes, powder blush, if you want to embellish your hat, you will also need a few feathers, some tulle, a flower, hot glue and a glue gun.
